Jewellery dreaming

You may not be aware but the word jewellery comes from jewel which is in fact an anglicized version of the Old French 'jouel' that was used around the 13th century. We can actually trace the word further back to in Latin, where there is the word 'jocale' which literally means plaything.

It's not surprising that we can trace it this far back, jewellery is without a doubt one of the oldest forms of body adornment. Incredibly some 100,000-year-old beads made from Nassarius shells have been far,which is probably further back than most of us can even think.

Today we have jewellery made from the likes of silver, gold and various gems, however in the past they were made from the most basic natural materials, such as bone, wood, stone and animal teeth. It has always been the case though that jewellery is used to depict certain things, in the same way the jewellery here is. The fantasy theme is aimed at a certain market who love to represent how they feel through their jewellery.
